OnPolitics Today: And another one goes and another one goes
President Trump and chief economic adviser Gary Cohn

Today was just a typical Tuesday in Trumpland, meaning someone else has announced their plans to resign from the administration.

Take a deep breath, catch up with the latest, subscribe here and let's go.

Yet another one bites the dust

After literally months of speculation, Gary Cohn finally made it official and announced Tuesday his plans to leave his role as Trump's chief economic adviser.

Cohn on his time with Trump: "It has been an honor to serve my country and enact pro-growth economic policies to benefit the American people, in particular the passage of historic tax reform."

Trump on his time with Cohn: "He is a rare talent, and I thank him for his dedicated service to the American people."

The turmoil between Trump and Cohn began back in August, after Cohn took issue with statements the president made about violence in Charlottesville, Va. Still, Cohn stuck around long enough to get tax reform through the door.

Whoever succeeds him might have to deal with potential trade wars. But hey, according to Trump, those aren't so bad.

Fool me twice

Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway has violated federal law not once, but twice , we learned Tuesday. The basics: Under the Hatch Act, federal employees aren't allowed to use their official positions to engage in politics. And that's what Conway did when she took sides in last year's Alabama special election for its open Senate seat. (The first time was when, you might recall, Conway told television viewers to "go buy" clothes from Ivanka Trump's fashion line.)

So, will Conway face any repercussions? That's for Trump to decide.
