OnPolitics Today: Did Trump get the memo on changes to the memo?
Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., is pictured speaking to

President Trump appears set to approve the Friday release of the classified document compiled by Republicans who claim it shows "shocking" revelations of FBI and Justice Department abuse.

Democrats call it a misleading account meant to dull special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation as it circles the president himself. The FBI has "grave concerns" about its accuracy, too.

But did Trump see a different version of the memo?

Late Wednesday night, Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff claimed that Republican Rep. Devin Nunes, his colleague on the House panel who requested the memo, made secret "material changes" to the document after the committee voted to release it, meaning whatever version President Trump has reviewed "is not, in fact, the same document." Nunes admitted the changes, but called them minor.

Is Mitt Romney running for Senate? (Here's a hint: Probably)

Mitt Romney, not quite a master of suspense, announced Thursday that he will make "an announcement on February 15th about the Utah Senate race." One of the options could be that Romney is not running. But another option, given longtime Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch's retirement , is that Romney is running. If that happens, get your popcorn ready and watch Trump's Twitter account: Romney has lately positioned himself as a critic of the president, saying Trump's comments on Charlottesville last year caused "caused racists to rejoice."

Trump says the GOP may have to settle on immigration

Trump told Republican lawmakers on Thursday that they may have to give up ground to cut a deal with Democrats on immigration . That's unless, of course, Democrats fail to chip away at the GOP majority in this fall's midterm elections. If that's the case, Trump said, "we don't have to compromise so much." Regardless, Republicans will have to compromise within their own party: Trump's proposal to give legal status to DREAMers over the course of 12 years is far less popular with House Republicans than Senate ones.
