Naturally, there's some politics involved. Here are a few uniforms that stood out: - Washington Wizards: The sides feature a marble pattern inspired by the Washington Monument
- Philadelphia 76ers: The parchment cream color is inspired by the Declaration of Independence, and "Phila" is written John Hancock-style
- Memphis Grizzlies: The simple black-and-white uniforms are inspired by the "I Am A Man" signs used during the 1968 Memphis sanitation workers' strike, and they will be worn for the last time by the team on April 4, the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s death
- San Antonio Spurs: The camo print uniform honors US service members
- Phoenix Suns: The team is bringing back the "Los Suns" uniforms, which they've worn before, including in 2010 following the passage of a controversial Arizona immigration law
- Utah Jazz: The color scheme is inspired by Utah's canyons and natural beauty, it features an icon of the Delicate Arch, and the sides are a map of the routes from Salt Lake City to Moab on the right and St. George on the left
