A Softer Side?: After a day of negative press, Trump reposts a video of his grandson

Tillerson Isn't Happy: He reportedly got into an "intense" argument in the White House

What the White House Is Talking About:
President Donald Trump is meeting today with South Korea President Moon Jae-in. Later, he and Melania Trump depart for a long weekend in Bedminster, New Jersey

What the White House Press Corps Is Talking About:
Health care. Summer vacation. And exhaustion over Trump's tweets. But it's still worth reading the insightful take on the whole thing from CNN's Dylan Byers.

But First Tweets:
Three this morning, each on a separate topic. The first one's causing ripples; Trump tweets the GOP should repeal and then replace Obamacare, when he'd previously said he wouldn't repeal without a replacement. He also takes a last-word approach to the "Morning Joe" feud.
Personally, I'm Kind Of Over This, But OK:
I get it, but after Thursday's relentless commentary about the tweets and Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, I'm just kind of ready to move on. How do you guys feel? That said I should still post a link to the morning show duo's op-ed in today's Washington Post titled "Donald Trump is Not Well."

Trump's Softer Side?:

Late Thursday night, the President appeared to be going through daughter Ivanka Trump's Instagram feed. Maybe all that "disgusting dude" talk got to him? Or maybe he was just like, "Oh yeah, I have a cute grandson"? Trump regrammed a video of his youngest, babbling and learning to walk, with the caption "Adorable!"

Dress Like the First Lady:
It was business as usual Thursday night at the White House when Melania Trump stood by POTUS' side to greet the South Korean President and his wife. The first lady wore this $2,330 Roland Mouret dress.

Oval Office Oopsie:
A witness to the photo op this morning with Trump and Moon noted that a member of the South Korean press accidentally knocked over a lamp while entering the Oval Office. Luckily, the apparently cat-like reflexes of Keith Schiller, Trump's director of Oval Office operations, kicked in -- he caught the lamp before it hit the floor.

Eating for the Insta:
One of the best reads I've had this week is Jessica Sidman's Washingtonian magazine profile of the guy behind the @DCFoodPorn instagram account. He's 22 and earning up to $1,500 per post for shots of good-looking dishes. Guys, we could be doing this whole job thing all wrong.

TGIF:
Hunter and I are taking off for a few days next week to enjoy July Fourth (which is one of Hunter's favorite holidays). We'll see you back here on Thursday, lunchtime, sliding into your inbox ðŸ˜‰.

What Washington Is Talking About:
July Fourth recess, baby. Since Thursday afternoon, members of Congress have been streaming through Reagan National en route to their home states and districts. The Senate will return July 10, and the House will be back July 11.

What America Is Talking About:
Jay-Z released his new album, 4:44 and seems to confirm past infidelity that his wife, Beyonce, hinted at in her Lemonade ("Let me alone, Becky / A man that don't take care his family can't be rich") and references the physical altercation in an elevator in 2014 with sister-in-law Solange ("You egged Solange on knowin' all along / all you had to say you was wrong").

Reminder:
Rent is due, but I just wanted to remind you now since I'll be off until next Thursday.

Poll of the Day:
A Gallup poll found 49% of US adults believe immigrants "mostly help" the economy, compared with 40% who say they "mostly hurt."
Kellyanne Defends Trump's Tweets:
Kellyanne Conway didn't respond to questions about Trump's tweets about Joe Scarborough or Mika Brzezinski when asked by TMZ , but today on "Good Morning America," she said, "I endorse the President's right to fight back when he is being mercilessly attacked and when the airwaves are filled with raw sewage about him and his fitness for office."

Tillerson Isn't Happy With How Things Are Going:
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson "blew up"  during a meeting last week in Reince Priebus' White House office when talking with Johnny DeStefano, the head of the presidential personnel office. The meeting, first reported by Politico and confirmed by CNN, was "intense" and "uncomfortable," an official said, and Tillerson expressed frustration with how slowly the hiring process at the State Department has been. Two officials told CNN that the White House encourages a "loyalty test" among new hires and that they should not have said anything negative about Trump.

When asked Thursday if he was satisfied with the pace of hires, Tillerson said, "No, I'd like to go faster."

Jason Chaffetz Tweets His Goodbye:
The Utah Republican is officially out of office. He shared this photo of his office cot Thursday on Twitter, captioning it "Bye Bye."

Kendall and Kylie Pull Shirt Line:
The Jenner sisters apologized Thursday for a shirt line that featured their faces superimposed over those of rock and hip-hop musicians. The estate of the Notorious B.I.G. and the Doors both sent cease-and-desist letters about the shirts; the line has been pulled.

Britney Live:
Ahead of her Tel Aviv show Monday, Britney Spears made news in an interview with an Israeli television station when she denied lip-syncing. "A lot of people think that I don't sing live. Because I'm dancing so much, I do have a little bit of playback, but there's a mixture of my voice and the playback," she said. "It really pisses me off because I am busting my ass out there and singing at the same time and nobody ever really gives me credit for it."

She made her point today by singing "Happy Birthday" live during her Singapore show.
