The Daily Money: CVS and Walgreens limit some medicine purchases

Happy Tuesday! It's Charisse Jones with your Daily Money headlines. 

Some major retailers are trying to prevent stressed-out parents from hoarding children's pain medications that are in short supply. CVS Health has imposed a two-product limit on those medicines whether you pick them up at a pharmacy or order online, while Walgreens is limiting online orders to no more than six over-the-counter children's fever-reducing medications.

But don't panic. Other stores may have whatever medicine you're looking for, and generic versions can work just as well, experts say.

Hold the egg nog?  

You will likely pay a lot more this year to prepare your holiday feast. While inflation is easing a bit, food prices were up 12% in November compared to a year ago according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Eggs might give you the most sticker shock with prices up 49% over last year. But butter isn't far behind, costing 27% more, while the price of pies and tarts is up 19%.
