The Daily Money

Wednesday, February 10

Good morning, Daily Money readers, it's Nathan Bomey once again. May you never get stuck on the cat filter while appearing in court.

Hey, we're trying something new today, and we hope you like it. It's called ...

INSIGHT OF THE DAY: Want to own some bitcoin? You can without buying any. But you've got to invest in computers to "mine" bitcoin, which involves validating other people's transactions, and the amount of processing power and electricity required is increasing exponentially.

On to the news of the day.

The sense of desperation out there to get a COVID-19 vaccine is palpable. While you may not be eligible quite yet, your local pharmacy may be poised to offer the vaccine beginning Friday. That includes certain CVS, Walgreens, Walmart and Kroger locations. Check out my story for more information on what to watch for.

This happened last night: Aunt Jemima is finally being retired for good. The logo was already discontinued, but the PepsiCo brand hadn't yet gotten its new name. Now it's in: the Pearl Milling Company.

Heard about Aldi's but don't have one near you? That could change soon. The discount grocer is opening 100 new locations and expanding curbside pickup options, our Kelly Tyko reports.
