Fourteen-years old and illiterate, John Bunn was sent to prison for a crime he did not commit. By the time he was 17, John had completed his GED and was reading anything he could get his hands on. Now 41, John is finally free—after nearly two decades in prison and ten years on parole—and committed to sharing the power of literacy with those who need it most.

Eradicating Transphobia, One Nail at a Time

Charlie Craggs is a woman on a mission. The goal? To eradicate transphobia. The plan? To do it while being absolutely fabulous. In 2013 Craggs began Nail Transphobia, a pop-up nail salon that offers free manicures over discussions about trans issues. It's what Craggs calls "fabulous activism." 

The Traveling Brandy Maker of France

Regis Ducoux likes to work at his own rhythm. A traveling distiller, he moves from village to village, spending two to three weeks crafting eau de vie—a fruit-based brandy—at each stop. Traveling distillers were numerous in France fifty years ago, but today, Regis is one of only two serving the country's Haute-Vienne region.
